MILITARY SPECIFICATION
TRUCKS, LIFT, FORK, TIERING, WALKIE, STRADDLE TYPE, ELECTRIC, 2,000- AND 2,500-POUNDS
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION
1.1 Scope. This specification covers electric walkie straddle trucks for use in warehouses, the load capacity of which is rated at 24 inches from the heel of the forks.
1.2 Classification. Trucks shall be one of the following sizes as specified:
Type E, size 1 - 2,000 pounds capacity, 130 inches minimum lift height,
83 inches maximum collapsed mast height.
Type E, size 2 - 2,500 pounds capacity, 130 inches minimum lift height,
83 inches maximum collapsed mast height.
Type EE, size 3 - 2,000 pounds capacity, 130 inches minimum lift height,
83 inches maximum collapsed mast height.
Type EE, size 4 - 2,500 pounds capacity, 130 inches minimum lift height,
83 inches maximum collapsed mast height.

2.1 Government documents.
2.1.1 Specifications and standards. Unless otherwise specified, the following specifications and standards of the issue listed in that issue of the Department of Defense Index of Specifications and Standards ( DoDISS)
specified in the solicitation, form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein.
