a. Adjustment of mast assembly.
b. Adjustment of solid state control modules. c. Adjustment of brake system.
d. Adjustment of steering.
e. Continuity check of the electrical system, including filling and charging the battery.
4.6 Inspection of packing. The preservation, packing, and marking of each forklift truck shall be inspected as specified in appendix B of MIL-STD-162 and as specified in 5.2.2.
4.7 Nuclear-biological-chemical (NBC) protection. The forklift shall be tested in accordance with 3.20.3. Nonconformance to 3.20.3 shall constitute failure of this test. The forklift shall complete two cycles in 7 minutes in accordance with test method no. 1 utilizing the NBC protective ensemble (see
3.20.3).
5. PACKAGING
5.1 Preservation. Each complete truck and all items issued with the truck shall be preserved in accordance with the level A, B, or C requirements for type I or II of MIL-STD-162, as specified (see 6.2).
5.2 Packing. Packing shall be level A, B, or C as specified (see. 6.2).
5.2.1 Level A or B. Each complete truck and all items issued with the truck, preserved as specified in 5.1, shall be packed in accordance with the level A or B requirements, type I or II, of MIL-STD-162.
5.2.2 Level C. Each complete truck and all items issued with the truck, preserved as specified in 5.1, shall be packed to assure carrier acceptance and safe delivery to destination at lowest ratings in compliance with Uniform Freight Classification Rules or National Motor Freight Classification Rules.
5.3. Marking. Marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-162.
6. NOTES

6.1 Intended use. Trucks described herein are intended for stacking, unstacking, and moving cargo in and around warehouses, ammunition magazines loading platforms, and docks within the military supply system; also for moving cargo in and out of highway trailers and railroad cars. Trucks are intended for operation over paved, and other hard surfaces for short distances.
