TEST METHOD NO. 2
DRIFT
1. TEST COURSE:
a. Level, flat surface.
2. TEST APPARATUS:
a. Temperature thermocouple and potentiometer or equivalent temperature measuring device.
b. Clinometer.
3. TEST PROCEDURE:
a. Install the thermocouple in the volumetric center of the hydraulic- system oil reservoir. Heat the hydraulic oil by exercising hydraulic functions until the oil temperature exceeds 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Maintain oil temperature above 120 degrees Fahrenheit for the
duration of the test.
b. Raise rated load to maximum lift height. Tilt mast to true vertical position measured with the clinometer. Mark reference point.
c. Hold the load for 2 minutes and record the downward drift and rotational drift in that period.
