3.27 Truck marking. Markings on truck shall be painted lusterless black. Characters shall be block-type capitals and Arabic numerals. Location, information, and character size shall be as shown in table I.

3.28 Tires and tire loadings. Tire loadings for the selected size shall not exceed the values at speeds specified herein listed in the Tire and Rim Yearbook (as applicable). Tires shall be not more than 12 months old on date of acceptance by the Government. The maximum tire pressure permitted shall be
125 psi.
3.29 Electromagnetic radiation. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2) the forklift shall not exceed the limits of electromagnetic radiation specified in SAE J551. Measurement shall also be taken from the front and rear of the
truck at 33 foot distances.
3.30 Technical information package (TIP). When specified (see 6.2), the manufacturer shall complete the TIP-52864 to depict the truck and its components as it will be furnished.
3.31 Fenders. Fenders shall be provided for all exposed wheels in accordance with the manufacturer's standard commercial practices.
3.32 Transportability. The trucks shall be capable of being transported by military or commercial trailers, trains, and marine vessels, and must be capable of withstanding the impact forces encountered in shipment, without damage or permanent deformation. When specified (see 6.2), the trucks shall be equipped with tiedown or slinging provisions.
3.32.1 Tiedown Provisions. The tiedown provisions shall conform to MIL- STD-209, class 2 or 3, type III equipment. The tiedown provisions shall satisfactorily complete the pull testing as specified without weld failure, permanent deformation, cracking, loosening, or breaking of the provision or its connecting structural components.
