d. Adjustment of steering.
e. Continuity check of the electrical system, and charging of battery.
f. Check torque on all wheel lug nuts and proper inflation of tires.
4.5.2.2.6 Load securing devices and carriage assembly . When load securing devices are provided, the devices and carriage assembly shall be tested for verification of specified requirements. Nonconformance to 3.10 shall constitute failure of this test.
4.5.2.2.7 Side shift. Operate the side shift attachment for 100 full cycles at full speed from extreme left to extreme right and back to extreme left with the rated load. During the last 50 cycles, the control shall be released abruptly when the load is in approximately midposition between the left and right extremes and then the side shifter shall be restarted. Nonconformance to 3.10.3 shall constitute failure of this test.
4.5.2.2.8 Brakes.
4.5.2.2.8.1 Service brake system. Perform applicable braking test specified in ASME B 56.1. Nonconformance to 3.12.1 and ASME B 56.1 shall constitute failure of this test.
4.5.2.2.8.2 Emergency stopping system. When an emergency stopping system for nuclear safety as specified in 3.12.2.1 is provided, stopping distance shall be demonstrated on a level surface in accordance with ASME B 56.1. Nonconformance to 3.12.2.1, ASME B 56.1 and maximum stopping distances shown in SAE J1152 shall constitute failure of this test.
4.5.2.2.8.3 Parking brake system. Perform applicable braking test specified in ASME B 56.1. Nonconformance to 3.12.2 or 3.12.2.1 and ASME B
56.1, except a 20 percent slope is required, shall constitute failure of this test.
4.5.2.2.9 Lifting speed and lowering speed. Demonstrate each truck in accordance with method no. 2. Nonconformance to 3.24.1 or 3.24.2 shall constitute failure of this test.
4.5.2.2.10 Right angle turn. Demonstrate the truck in accordance with test method no. 3. Dimension �A" greater than specified in the applicable specification sheet shall constitute failure of this test (see 3.24.3).
4.5.2.2.11 Travel speed. Demonstrate each truck in accordance with test method no. 4. Nonconformance to 3.24.4 shall constitute failure of this test.
4.5.2.2.12 Slope ascension. Demonstrate each truck in accordance with test method no. 5. Nonconformance to 3.24.5 shall constitute failure of this test.
4.5.2.2.13 Tilt. Demonstrate the truck in accordance with test method no.
6. Nonconformance to 3.24.6 shall constitute failure of this test.
4.5.2.2.14 Upright height, maximum lift height, free lift height . Demonstrate the truck in accordance with test method no. 1. Nonconformance to
3.24.7, 3.24.8, or 3.24.9 shall constitute failure of this test.
